Services
Instrumentation and services are available to all researchers inside and outside of the university.
Researchers from the Northwestern University and the University of Chicago are provided internal rates as all UIC users. All other users can access services but at an external academic or external non-academic rate, which is determined using subsidy and market rates.
All users must register their funds by creating a RRC account before requesting service or scheduling equipment usage.
All users are responsible for their own laboratory safety training to be current during each use of the core facilities.

New or current user training modules:
- 1D experiments and initial set up
Topics: Shimming, lock, tune and proton pulse calibration.
Includes an overview of water suppression - 2D Homonuclear experiments
Topics: Setup, acquisition and processing of COSY, NOESY/ROESY, and TOCSY experiments - 2D Heteronuclear experiments
Topics: Setup, acquisition and processing of 13C-HSQC and 13C-HMBC experiments - Triple resonance and 3D experiments
Topics: Setup, acquisition and processing of triple resonance experiment typically required
protein or peptide chemical shift assignments
Successful completion of each modules requires the user demonstrate proficiency by conducting a setup of oneĀ experiment without assistance in a 30 min time period.
Tubes Heading link
If needed the NMRC Facility generally has a variety of tubes including short tubes for the Bruker MATCH spinners.
Please note, Investigators from the Northwestern University and the University of Chicago are provided internal rates as all UIC users. All other users can access services but, at either external academic or external non-academic rate.
